The Department of Territory and Sustainability, through Airports of Catalonia, and the General Council of Aran have completed the works so that this installation can operate 24 hours. The works consisted on redoing the interior spaces of the current hangar so that it can become a service area and emergency management room and the installation of a hangar and a parking platform on the land next to the heliport.

The Generalitat has invested 52,500 euros in reforming the heliport and its necessities and the Conselh Generau has acquired the land where a new hangar has been built with multioperative functions that will improve the conditions for public or private operators.

On the other hand during the visit, Gavín and Barrera have valued the importance it has for the territory that the Swedish tour operator Quality Travel, which operates for the second year at the Lleida-Alguaire airport, offers for this winter season tourist packages in the Valley of Aran. The forecast is to operate for eight weeks (from February 3 to March 24), with two flights on Sundays scheduled at 1 pm. Tourists arriving in the Val d'Aran will come from seven cities: Stockholm, Malmö, Kalmar, Göteborg, Linköping, Vaxjo and Jönköping.
